Who is Linden Shaw?
Linden Shaw is the editorial pen name of How To Grow Houseplants, a small independent publisher writing for people who keep plants indoors. Linden is not one person with a résumé: the name lets the site speak with one consistent voice, and we would rather say so plainly than invent a biography.
What we publish
Care guides for the foliage, trailing and succulent houseplants people actually own: snake plant, pothos, peace lily, monstera, ZZ plant and more. We explain light, watering, humidity, temperature, soil, repotting, propagation and the problems that show up indoors, with the source for every figure. Where our sources don’t state something, the page leaves it blank rather than guessing.
What we don’t cover
Flowering houseplants such as orchids and Christmas cactus live on How To Grow Flowers, so each plant has one home. We say a plant is toxic or non-toxic to pets only when ASPCA or a university extension source says so, and we cite it. We don’t make air-purifying or other health claims.
